Job Title: Senior Data Security Engineer, Big ID Deployment Lead Location(s): Dallas, TX (Remote) 1. BigID Platform Lead - Job Description Role: BigID Platform Lead Department: Data Governance / Information Security Experience: 6-10+ years Location: Remote / Hybrid Role Overview The BigID Platform Lead is responsible for the end-to-end management, deployment, and operation of the BigID data intelligence platform. This role ensures effective data discovery, classification, governance, and privacy compliance across enterprise data environments. The position works closely with security, engineering, and governance teams to support regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage BigID platform environments (DEV, QA, PROD).
- Implement data discovery, classification, and sensitive data identification processes.
- Enforce data governance and privacy policies aligned with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA.
- Manage data remediation activities including masking, redaction, and labeling.
- Onboard and scan new enterprise data sources.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize BigID scans and pipelines.
- Support integrations using APIs, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Collaborate with data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Integrate BigID with enterprise tools such as Alation and other governance platforms.
- Support big data environments (Spark, Hadoop) for large-scale data scanning.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with BigID platform administration and deployment.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
- Scripting skills in Python or Shell.
- Experience with API integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data catalog or governance tools (Alation, Collibra, etc.)
- Knowledge of data security frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise data architecture
2. Cloud Security Architect (AWS Focus) - Job Description Role: Cloud Security Architect Focus: AWS Cloud Security & Migration Experience: 5-7+ years Location: Remote (Preference: Philadelphia / NYC Metro) Role Overview The Cloud Security Architect is responsible for designing and implementing security architecture for enterprise workloads migrating to AWS. This role defines secure cloud patterns, evaluates migration strategies, and performs architecture validation to ensure security controls are embedded throughout the cloud adoption process. Key Responsibilities
- Define secure architecture patterns and guardrails for AWS workloads.
- Perform architecture reviews and design validation for cloud applications.
- Assess migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor) and associated risks.
- Conduct threat modeling with engineering teams.
- Establish data protection standards including encryption and classification.
- Collaborate with application owners, engineers, and business leaders.
- Ensure cloud environments align with enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
Required Skills
- 5-7+ years experience in
Cybersecurity or Cloud Security Architecture. - Deep expertise in AWS security services including:
- IAM
- VPC
- Security Groups
- GuardDuty
- KMS
- Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives
- Ability to conduct security architecture reviews
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Security Specialty
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2 frameworks
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Exposure to DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security
