Overview
Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. As a Principal Network Hardware Engineer in the CTO Office of CO+I, you will help shape the future of data center networking by developing and evolving nextgeneration network architectures, hardware platforms, and physical layer designs. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction, design, and integration of networking solutions that span switches, interconnects, optics, and physical infrastructure, ensuring they are ready for largescale, production deployment. You will work closely with crossfunctional engineering teams to design, prototype, validate, and deliver highly reliable, scalable, and efficient networking solutions that support the performance demands of Microsoft's global cloud platform.

Hardware Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
