Job Description:

Location: Must reside in Iowa

The opportunity:
The Member Communications Specialist will focus on the State of Iowa Medicaid and Dental Programs by assisting the development and execution of member-facing communications in compliance with Iowa state contract requirements.

How you will contribute:

  • Assist with fulfillment activities, including mailing materials such as welcome kits, ID cards, and required member notices.
  • Coordinate intake and tracking of contractual marketing and outreach requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help maintain communication calendars and delivery timelines to ensure timely execution of required materials.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services and Regulatory teams to ensure communications meet brand, compliance, and accessibility standards.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of materials for regulatory submission and approval.
  • Aid in the translation and ADA coordination process to ensure materials are accessible to all members.
  • Track metrics related to member communications (e.g., volume, timelines, returns) to assist reporting and audits.
  • Maintain organized records of communication assets and fulfillment activities.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with client engagement, marketing, and operations teams as needed.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of member communications in alignment with State of Iowa contractual requirements.
  • Support fulfillment operations, including print production and mailings for materials such as welcome kits, ID cards, and notices.
  • Manage intake and tracking of marketing and outreach requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain project timelines and communication calendars to ensure timely execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Creative, Regulatory, Client Engagement, etc.) to ensure materials meet compliance, accessibility, and brand standards.
  • Assist in preparing materials for regulatory review and approvals.
  • Monitor translation and ADA workflows to ensure materials are accessible to all members.
  • Track performance metrics and document fulfillment activity for reporting and audits.
  • Maintain organized records of communication assets and project documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and furthering marketing initiatives

What you will bring with you:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with regulated healthcare programs (Medicaid/Medicare preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of marketing or communications workflows
  • Experience with fulfillment operations, print production, or direct mail a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and task management tools
