Description

Build, Secure, and Scale the Future of AVAYA Infrastructure

Are you a Network Engineer who thrives on the elegant complexity of a well-tuned architecture? We are looking for a mid-to-senior level expert to join our Infrastructure team as a primary architect of our corporate connectivity. This isn't just a maintenance role-you'll be the hands-on lead for securing our perimeter, optimizing our routing, and ensuring our core infrastructure scales alongside our growth.

The Role at a Glance

In this role, you will own the lifecycle of our network-from initial design and high-level architecture to granular troubleshooting. You'll spend your days working within a high-performance environment powered by Palo Alto, Juniper, and Dell, ensuring that our remote-first workforce stays connected and secure.

Your Core Mission

Next-Gen Security: Design and manage our Palo Alto (NGFW) environment. You'll be the gatekeeper, managing Panorama, Threat Prevention profiles, and complex VPN tunnels.

High-Velocity Routing: Take the wheel of our Juniper ecosystem. You'll use Junos OS to master BGP, dynamic routing, and traffic optimization.

Core Connectivity: Administer our Dell switching fabric, ensuring rock-solid VLAN management, LACP, and STP across the core and access layers.

Architectural Evolution: Don't just fix things-make them better. You'll lead hardware migrations, capacity planning, and firmware lifecycle management.

Observability: Utilize enterprise-grade monitoring tools to stay ahead of the curve, acting as the final escalation point for the most challenging network puzzles.

What You Bring to the Table

The Experience: 3-5+ years of "in the trenches" experience in medium-to-large enterprise or cloud environments.

The Toolset: * Palo Alto: Deep familiarity with Panorama and security policy orchestration.

Juniper: High proficiency in Junos OS CLI and routing protocol troubleshooting.

Dell: Proven track record managing enterprise-grade Dell switches.

The Fundamentals: A "source code" level understanding of the OSI/TCP-IP models, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, and DHCP.

The Mindset: You document your work meticulously (diagrams are your love language) and enjoy the collaborative challenge of a high-stakes infrastructure team.

The Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Bonus Points For...

Certifications: PCNSE, JNCIS-ENT, or CCNP.

Automation: If you've used Python, Ansible, or Terraform to make manual tasks disappear, we want to hear about it.

Education: A degree in CS or IT is great, but we value proven, real-world expertise above all.

Why Join Us?

AVAYA is the market leader in CCaaS solutions

Truly Remote: Work from home with a strong preference for Virginia

Impact: You aren't just a cog in the machine; you are the owner of the network stack.

Modern Stack: Work with industry-leading tools (Palo Alto, Juniper) rather than legacy debt.
