Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.

The work model for the role is: onsite

Requirements:

  • Will be required to plan, organize, direct and train team members and control the work within their assigned area, to the limits within their authority.

  • Must be flexible to work overtime as required.

  • Must be Forklift certified every 3 years.

  • Must operate electric fork truck, hand pallet truck, box bander, and label machine, staple gun and hoist.

  • Place skids of material with a fork truck at the loading end of the furnace and inform team member on amount to pack on trays at a time.

  • Must maintain records and carry out instructions directed from supervision.

  • Know all required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

  • Will be trained on operating all controls on equipment and how to light and operate the furnaces and how to shut the furnaces down.

  • Must meet productivity and quality requirements.

  • Will be expected to perform direct labor responsibilities, as required by supervision.

Essential Functions- Annealing Team Leader

Annealing Team Leader must be able to perform these functions in a manner that does not compromise their safety or the safety of coworkers. The annealing team leader must be able to perform these task for a minimum of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. If an employee is unable to perform these essential functions it is their responsibility to bring this to the attention of their supervisor, manager, or Human Resource Manager. In these situations, ABB will discuss and attempt to provide any reasonable accommodations that may be available.

  • Ability to understand and follow all ABB safety policies, safety training and hazard communication information. This includes but is not limited to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.

  • Lift and or carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Frequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend, along with occasional reaching above shoulder level, pulling and handle cranking

  • Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and to keep up with the demanding pace of production in a hot environment.

  • Possess the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to utilize various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete a variety of complex task. Equipment includes but is not limited to: electric chain hoists, pneumatic staplers, hydraulic lift tables, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, forklift and controls with buttons.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, write, use a calculator and understand blueprints, production orders, schedule, logging book and special instructions related to your task.

  • Ability to maintain regular work attendance, including arriving at work on time and remaining at work until the end of the schedules work day.

  • Ability to work daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice.
