Description POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Contracting, Finance or related field is preferred. If a candidate does not have a degree, he or she should have a certification as a Contract Management professional. Professional certification through NCMA (CFCM or CPCM) or equivalent in preferred or the ability to obtain a certification within the first three year of employment. At least five (5) years government contract management experience is required to include a working knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements and contract law. The position requires a combination of contract/subcontract management knowledge and administration ability, customer focus, and strong people skills. Experience managing Government aircraft maintenance contracts is desirable. Must be eligible for a secret government clearance. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning and administering sound, effective, and fully compliant contract. Acts as the Company's focal point for day-to-day contact to include subcontracts and contract financing. Responsible for knowing all contractual requirements, monitoring contract funds status, coordinating the preparation of contract reports, Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) items, billing documents, and advising the Program Managers on contractual rights, risks, obligations and opportunities for enhanced performance. Works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service to both internal and external customers. Serves as the direct liaison to the Government Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO), Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO), and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) for all government contract and related funding matters. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
