Summary
TheSupervisor, Service Planning Stateis responsible for supervision of the electrical distribution design services performed in the department. Develops and manages outside business which includes meeting with new and existing customers, preparing/presenting proposals, contract negotiations and ensuring projects are done with customer centricity in mind. Major departmental responsibilities include planning, design, coordinating service to new and existing customers, customer communications, key and community account management, facility upgrades, rebuilds, relocations, inspections and survey/right of way. Major Accountabilities
1) Oversee the planning, design, and coordination of service to new and existing customers. 2) Prepare and present proposals to customers to develop new business. 3) Negotiate contracts ensuring projects are within our schedule 3 and company requirements. 4) Control design service costs to within budget by scheduling resources to maximize productivity without sacrificing customer service. 5) Promote safety awareness and accident prevention through safety meetings and implementation of safe work procedures and practices. 6) Effectively interface with customers and municipalities to assess their needs, determine scope of the project, make key decisions regarding layout of company facilities. 7) Support emergent restoration efforts and after hour duty responsibilities and union crews as needed. 8) May participate on local community boards, joins in local council meetings, and leads and/or participates in community seasonal events. 9) Prepare and negotiate contracts in compliance with company policies, rates and Municipality limitations. 10) Maintain a technically competent department to meet the needs of customers.
