How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead and develop a team of alternative investment specialists - setting daily priorities, mentoring staff on complex alternatives workflows, and fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for a wealth management & Family Office clients, owning the full relationship from onboarding through ongoing service delivery and issue resolution

  • Communicate proactively and professionally with clients on data discrepancies, processing timelines, and new capabilities - turning complex alternatives data into clear, actionable insights for advisors and their teams

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of alternative investment data, including retrieval of capital call and distribution notices; processing PCAPs and reviewing output for accuracy before it flows into client reporting

  • Manage and prioritize team workload queues to ensure timely processing of time-sensitive events such as capital calls and fund distributions, balancing capacity across team members to meet client SLAs

  • Take full ownership of new client onboarding projects-coordinating across internal teams and external fund managers to set up interested party configurations, integrations with reporting platforms, and ensure a smooth go-live experience

  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between alternative investment data sources and internal systems - digging into capital call calculations, IRR figures, PCAP data, and distribution notices to identify root causes and drive resolution

  • Proactively identify operational risks and data quality issues before they impact clients, and lead root-cause troubleshooting efforts in partnership with technology, operations, and client service teams

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; Master's degree is a plus

  • 2+ years of experience supervising and developing a team of 2 or more staff; candidates who have coached or mentored junior analysts through complex alternatives workflows are encouraged to apply

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services, within wealth management, fund administration, or an alternative investment operations environment

  • Hands-on experience and a solid understanding of commitment-based vehicles, fund of funds, capital calls, recallable distributions, and PCAPs - candidates who can read and interpret a PCAP or capital activity notices will stand out

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, hybrid environment - you don't wait to be told what to do next; you anticipate it

  • Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing communication skills - you can translate complex alternative investment data into clear, confident explanations for advisors and operational home office teams

  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across operations, technology, and client service teams, and is comfortable influencing without direct authority

  • Strong Excel proficiency including Pivot Tables, SUMIF, and VLOOKUP; experience working with large data sets and an aptitude for identifying anomalies quickly

What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)

  • Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new platforms; prior experience with Black Diamond, Salesforce, or alternative investment data aggregation tools is a plus
