Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees and reviews the monthly close of accounting books for all assigned areas and ensures accuracy and completeness.
  • Works with controllers and accountants to obtain all necessary information and explanations.
  • Prepares variance analysis as appropriate for Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and detailed cost center P&L statements.
  • Oversees the preparation of consolidated workpapers on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews all internal and external accounting management reports for accuracy and relevance.
  • Manages detailed research of GAAP issues as needed.
  • Ensures accuracy of all A/P invoice coding.
  • Reviews all disbursements for appropriateness.
  • Reviews and approves all amortization schedules on new debt.
  • Directs the payment of monthly debt service.
  • Directs the preparation of periodic debt compliance paperwork and ensures debt compliance at all times.
  • Coordinates the preparation and review of all audit workpapers.
  • Serves as liaison with external auditors throughout all audit procedures and represents the company during audit activities.
  • Directs the preparation of detailed analysis of accounts receivable.
  • Directs the activities of staff in the Accounting department.

SALARY LEVEL:

$110,000 - $155,000 annually


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum five years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least one year of management responsibility.
  • Prior public accounting and/or healthcare experience preferred.
  • GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience required.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management, accounting, and finance practices.
  • CPA preferred.
