Role Overview
The Vice President, Commercial Moving is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the Commercial Moving business, including all sales, operations, and project management functions. This role oversees the full commercial moving portfolio, ensuring exceptional service delivery, profitable growth, and operational excellence across all client engagements. The VP leads and develops the team responsible for managing and executing commercial moves, drives the commercial strategy for retaining and expanding the portfolio, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. This position provides strategic oversight across multiple clients and markets, directing resources, setting performance expectations, and guiding the business toward sustained revenue and service growth.

- Develop and execute the longterm commercial strategy to drive profitable growth, competitive differentiation, and market share expansion in Commercial Moving.
- Provide overall leadership for the commercial moving business, setting annual plans, priorities, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Oversee financial performance, including revenue, margin, cost management, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and operational capabilities to inform strategic decisionmaking.
- Partner with executive leadership to align business goals with enterprise strategy and organizational direction.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery
- Lead overall operational performance, ensuring delivery of consistent, highquality commercial moving services across regions and client portfolios.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve operating procedures, workflows, and service delivery models.
- Ensure operational readiness, capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance management across the operations and project management teams.
- Drive operational KPIs including service reliability, costtoserve, productivity, safety, and quality metrics.
- Implement operational improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate customer experience.
- Lead escalation management and ensure rapid resolution of service issues impacting key accounts.

- Serve as the executive sponsor for key commercial moving clients, ensuring strong partnership, strategic alignment, and longterm retention.
- Guide the team in developing clientspecific strategies, business reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
- Ensure delivery of superior customer experience at all stages of the commercial moving lifecycle.
- Oversee management of customer escalations and complex issues; ensure sustainable longterm solutions.

- Lead the commercial moving sales strategy, including pipeline development, market segmentation, pricing strategy, and revenue forecasting.
- Oversee strategic contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing decisions to ensure profitable growth.
- Partner with Sales, Pricing, and Contracts teams to maintain competitive, sustainable margins.
- Ensure alignment between sales commitments, operational capabilities, and customer expectations.
- Support the development of new solutions and value propositions that drive commercial growth.

- Lead, develop, and inspire a highperforming organization across sales, operations, and project management.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and development plans for all direct and indirect reports.

- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design for the Commercial Moving function.

Business Reviews, Reporting & Governance
- Oversee the creation and delivery of business performance reviews, including financial results, sales pipeline, operational performance, customer outcomes, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure datadriven decisionmaking through consistent reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics.
- Lead governance processes for commercial implementations, operational performance, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, service standards, and internal policies.
- Present regular business updates to the SVP and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Commercial Moving, including leadership of both sales and operations functions; deep knowledge of the Moving Services industry strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex service organizations with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans while driving tactical execution through large teams.
- Strong customercentric mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, resolve complex issues, and elevate the customer experience across multiple accounts.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage diverse teams in a highchange, matrixed environment.
- Advanced communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, clients, crossfunctional partners, and operational teams.
- Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen, including comfort with datadriven decisionmaking and performance management.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with handson operational oversight to drive continuous improvement and business results.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated resilience, strong work ethic, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a positive, composed presence under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree (MBA or related field) strongly preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial moving, relocation services, facilities management, logistics, or related servicebased industries.
- Minimum of 5 years leading multidisciplinary teams (sales, operations, project management) in a highvolume or complex service environment.
- Relevant industry certifications preferred, such as:
- FMP (Facility Management Professional)
- CFM (Certified Facility Manager)
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) for operational excellence
- PMP (Project Management Professional)

- Position Title: VP, Commercial Moving
- Salary Range: $140,000-$170,000 USD
