*Title:* Tier 2 Desktop Support Specialist
*Hiring Structure *6+ month contract to hire *Pay: *$27-32/hr* * * * *About the Role* We are looking for an experienced IT support professional to serve as the dedicated onsite resource for their Des Moines office (~300 users). This is a highly visible role with a clear career path, tuition reimbursement, and long-term growth potential - both technically and professionally. You'll own the end user experience for the Des Moines location, with one day per month of travel to Kansas City for additional onsite support. * * *What You'll Do* * *End User Support (30%)* - Monitor and respond to support tickets, document technical notes, assist with regional queue tickets, and send Corporate IT communications to internal customers. * *PC Support & Maintenance (30%)* - Set up and deploy workstations for new hires, manage Active Directory assignments, perform hardware/software upgrades, troubleshoot issues, coordinate vendor repairs, and maintain hardware inventory. * *Software Support (10%)* - Assist with post-deployment issues, support local software within the region, and upgrade local server software as needed. * *Team & Project Participation (10%)* - Contribute to regional calls, support Corporate IT initiatives, monitor SLAs/OLAs, and assist with projects including IT focus groups, Active Directory audits, and office relocations. * *Network File & Print Server Maintenance (5%)* - Maintain networked applications, manage tape backups, and support network printers, scanners, and MFDs. * *VoIP Phone Support (5%)* - Provide phone support in centralized VoIP locations. * *Legal Compliance (5%)* - Execute legal hold procedures, hard drive copies, and preservation of backup media as requested. * * *What We're Looking For* * 3-5+ years supporting Windows OS (7 & 10), hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices * 3-5+ years of O365 support experience * Hands-on break/fix experience - comfortable supporting users both face-to-face and remotely via VPN * Strong customer service skills and reliability - personality matters here * Prior experience supporting executives is a plus * * *Nice to Haves* * Azure experience * Familiarity with enterprise-level hardware environments * * *Work Environment* This is a fully onsite role, 5 days/week in Des Moines, with one day per month in Kansas City. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
