TITLE: QC Technician C
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Assist the T-shirt Extrusion Department in Quality Control. Monitor all aspects of Quality Assurance within the department in accordance with customer requirements and company policy/procedure. To ensure that the product meets or exceeds the specifications set forth by the Customer and/or the Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Quality Control and Production experience desirable.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complies with all written and verbal safety rules, SQF (Food Safety), and procedures.
- Keeps all assigned work areas clean and safe.
- Reports to Supervisor and/or Person in charge on quality status.
- Responsible for monitoring Quality Standards.
- Must be able to read and understand sequence reports, MPI, and Production Instructions.
- Must be able to perform proper procedures for Quality Assurance on all types of film.
- Share workload as needed.
- Pass all Master training courses with a minimum score of 80.
- Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/General Manager.
TRAINING:
- Refer to Master Training Plan
- Any other courses for Management, Technical, or administrative as directed by Management
AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:
- Ensure finished product is packed correctly, monitors all quality to assure product conformity to customer specifications, monitors production, packing equipment, and operates within equipment guidelines.
- Authorize to place end product/semi-finished product on hold in case of defect(s).
- Has the authority to check and release if non- conformance has been corrected.
- Follows all plant and equipment safety regulations, SQF (Food Safety), and THM & Housekeeping.
- Attends any ongoing training and OSHA classes.
- Available for overtime.
- Available for any duties and/or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/General Manager.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Climbing, ascending, or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Stooping, bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine and waist.
- Kneeling, bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on the knee or knees.
- Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending the leg and spine.
- Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Example: Giving signals, reaching for materials, or handling an item.
- Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. Examples: making copies, giving presentations, directing traffic. etc.
- Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
- Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
- Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects from a higher to a lower position, or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Degree of lifting: (26-50lbs.).
- Fingering, picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
- Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
- Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
- Talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work. Via face-to-face or telephone.
- Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 dB loss @ 500Hz, 1000Hz, 2000Hz, with or without correction. Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making adjustments to machine parts.
- Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Example: filing, sorting mail, and various inspection tests.
