Who we are looking for:

The IT Systems Analyst, Operations, will be a member of our Workplace Solutions team. This team is responsible for managing end-user devices including laptops, workstations, desk phones, mobile phones, and scanners, as well as common area technology such as shop floor printers, conference room systems, digital signage, and office printers. This team also manages Atkore's Unified Communications system based on Microsoft Teams Phone and Microsoft Teams Room System. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of End User Computing and will be based in our Mokena, IL office.

What You'll Do:

The IT Systems Analysts on this team are involved in every phase of delivering and supporting these end-user devices and services by identifying new technology needs through deployment and support. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Deploying end user devices including laptops, workstations, desk phones, mobile phones, and scanners, as well as common area technology such as shop floor printers, conference room systems, digital signage, and office printers.
  • Managing the ongoing maintenance activities of devices including the testing and deployment of software updates, overseeing repair/replacement, and tracking all assets in our asset management system
  • Serve as an escalation point to our first level Service Desk team to lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnosis of any reported issues
  • Participate in projects that involve shop floor printers and scanners, that require some travel to various Atkore sites across North America.
  • Participate in major technology projects as the subject matter expert for devices used by end users, in common area office settings, and in manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Identify opportunities across the team and organization to streamline the management and support of all Atkore devices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of existing and emerging technologies
  • Maintain shop floor environment and upgrades of shop floor equipment as they age out.
  • Participate in the development of technology roadmaps and the evaluation of new workplace technologies
  • Contribute during incidents as a device expert focused on solving problems and restoring services to a normal operating state
  • Oversee the activities and performance of our outside service providers for devices and services where the management and support has been outsourced


What You Bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Associates Degree required)
  • 2-3 years' experience in an IT desktop environment.
  • A+, MCP, MCTS, HDI, CCNA, ITIL Foundation preferred
  • A demonstrated history of establishing device roadmaps for computers, mobile scanners, specialty printers, and device peripherals and accessories
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using Lean Daily Management tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen events, and Standard Work
  • A demonstrated history of working with outside service providers for outsourced functions such as device repair or on-site support
  • Experience managing Android-base mobile devices with tools such as Soti, Avalanche, Intune or similar
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting specialty printer devices such as Zebra label printers or similar devices
  • Experience with warranty and repair services or service providers for rugged devices such as handheld scanners


Within 3 Months, You'll



  • Complete your new hire "Immersion" so that you are ready to rock in your new role.
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.


Within 6 Months, You'll:



  • Troubleshoot issues directly with end users
  • Work with colleagues, partners and vendors to develop updated standards


Within 12 Months, You'll:



  • Implement security standards for devices
  • Evaluate and test new end user technologies and tools
  • Design processes that will improve equipment rollouts and stability
  • Document standard work processes that are adopted throughout the organization.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $60,800 - $83,600. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
