About the Opportunity:

The X-Ray NDT Level III will establish and monitor the X-Ray program including formal X-Ray process specifications, methods and other related documents, including inspection certifications based on interpretation of codes, standards and specifications for the operation. This will also include collaborating with engineering, quality, sales, manufacturing and other representatives, including customers, in planning, scheduling, coordinating and implementing of X-Ray programs in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications.

Location: Stuart, FL, On-Site, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, recommends and conducts X-Ray inspection training programs, methods, and sampling techniques that will assure economical and effective product appraisal to customer specifications and standards.
  • Analyze and interpret X-Ray quality data, conduct research on product defects, and recommends modification in products or quality standards, where such appear to be warranted.
  • Administers a continuing program of review and analysis to audit the X-Ray processes and product produced by those processes to assure reliability of the total X-Ray processes.
  • Serves as a liaison with customers, visits customers and suppliers where necessary on specific X-Ray matters.
  • Ensures compliance with customers and government regulations as pertaining to X-Ray. Including managing NADCAP and other regulatory audits.
  • Provide the necessary training, guidance and/or supervision to trainees, Level 1 and Level 2 personnel for qualification and re-certification.
  • Perform audits including film audits and periodic system audits required but the quality system.
  • Perform Level 1 and Level 2 production responsibilities, if and when necessary.
  • Responsible Level 3 in accordance with the requirements of NAS 410

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in technical discipline AND at least 2 years of NDT Inspection experience - OR in lieu of a degree, at least 4 years of NDT Inspection experience
  • Level II certification with applicable time per applicable qualification standard.
  • Ability to pass required certification test for applicable discipline including NAS 410.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain prime customer level 3 certifications for both film and digital radiography.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NADCAP compliance and audit facilitation
  • ASNT certification is preferred in applicable discipline.

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
  • Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
