Get to Know Your Team:

• Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety.

• Coordinate radio-pharmaceuticalsfor patient procedures.
• Explain the imaging procedure to patients
• Coordinate and participate in a variety of technical procedures, operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation including stationary imaging devices, and scintillation gamma cameras.
• Perform Nuclear Cardiology studies including imaging acquisitionand processing and monitoring patient vital signs.
• Maintain a high standard of imaging and positioning to acquire a quality scan.
• Be able to demonstrateproficiency in operating the PACS Computer System.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and prepare and maintain records concerning radio-pharmaceuticalreceiving, dispensing and disposal.

Job Requirements:

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible.
  • If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
