Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on designing and implementing new cloud software solutions in alignment with the client's cloud strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, public cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, and hands-on experience with modern CI/CD toolchains. This position requires working on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. Responsibilities: Work across technology to create solutions that align with the client's cloud strategy Perform product design activities as required Design and implement new software solutions as part of a cloud enablement strategy, as well as maintain and enhance existing software Ensure that code adheres to strict standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices, and performance Write and conduct unit and integration tests Effectively function and communicate within a software development team consisting of developers, quality assurance, and project management members Actively participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings Requirements: Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT, with 5 years in Cloud Engineering (Azure/AWS/GCP) Experience with writing infrastructure as code using Terraform Experience building and working with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms and services) Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar frameworks Experience with cloud security (e.g., Azure Policy, Azure Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel) Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins Experience with general programming languages like Java or Python Agile development practices and test-driven development Deep knowledge of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors and distributed systems architecture Desired skills: Experience with Terraform Enterprise, Private Module Registry, or Terraform Sentinel Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, or Salt Experience with identity management frameworks and tools Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration Experience with Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Cloud provider certification (e.g., Azure certification AZ-900) Experience with architecting software solutions Experience with the Go programming language Pay range: $56.73 - $64.73 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
