Security Officer - Screening Associate

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in PHOENIX, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, perform screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role calls for strong communication, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and site protocols.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting conditions that could impact daily operations and documenting observations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
