Work Schedule:
100% FTE, day shift working Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. This is a hybrid position working 1 - 2 days on-site per week after the training period.

We are seeking an Administrative Operations Assistant to:

  • Coordinate daily administrative workflows, including calendar management, maintenance of meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and coordinating activities and schedules of department teams to support efficient nursing leadership operations.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Pediatric Inpatient Nursing Director and internal/external stakeholders, routing questions and supporting communication needs within and outside of the department.
  • Provide support to the department as it relates to payroll, time-off, policies, procedures, education and scheduling.
  • Coordinate and monitor departmental needs, including purchasing supplies, services or equipment.
  • Support project and operational initiatives, including data gathering, meeting preparation and follow up tasks, ad logistics for department-wide programs or improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 1 year experience in an administrative support role Required
  • 3 years experience in an administrative support function Preferred
  • Previous experience in a health care setting Preferred
