Job Summary:

The Graphic Design Intern will support the Nuvotronics marketing team in developing visual assets that communicate complex RF and microwave technologies to technical and commercial audiences. This role provides hands-on experience creating digital and print marketing materials that support campaigns, product launches, events, and corporate communications.

The intern will collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to translate technical concepts into clear and engaging visual content. This position works under supervision and direction, gaining exposure to B2B technology marketing and brand development in a fast-paced engineering environment.

This internship is intended for students currently enrolled in a degree program and may continue throughout the academic year, subject to availability and business needs. The preferred start date is as soon as possible.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and production of marketing collateral, including digital graphics, social media assets, email graphics, presentations, and datasheets
  • Support the creation of visual assets for website updates, landing pages, and product marketing initiatives
  • Help develop graphics for trade shows, technical conferences, and industry events
  • Assist with formatting technical documents, whitepapers, and case studies for publication
  • Maintain visual consistency across marketing materials in accordance with Cubic and Nuvotronics brand guidelines
  • Create and edit images, diagrams, and illustrations that help communicate complex technical information
  • Support marketing campaigns by producing creative assets for email, web, and social media channels
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts for campaigns and product promotions
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries and design files
  • Assist with basic video editing, motion graphics, or presentation visuals as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and provide creative input on marketing initiatives

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (Junior or Senior year) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design principles including typography, layout, color theory, accessibility design, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; After Effects or Premiere Pro a plus)
  • Experience with Canva or a similar digital design tool
  • Familiarity with designing for both digital and print media
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and incorporate feedback into design revisions
  • Ability to obtain a DOD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in technology, engineering, or B2B marketing
  • Experience designing graphics for websites, social media, or email marketing
  • Familiarity with Figma, Canva, or other digital design tools
  • Basic understanding of video editing or motion graphics
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative design work (academic or personal projects acceptable)

Cubic Pay Range:

$21.00 - $26.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
