MPS provides back office support, warehousing, and, fulfillment for Macmillan US, and is their primary distribution facility for North America. In this position, the employee will perform the more advanced general warehouse duties to include making adjustments in the computer system; operating machinery; processing; shrink-wrapping product; operating stretch-wrapping machine, and performing short picker duties while meeting production requirements, following appropriate instructions and safety methods associated with the department they are assigned to. Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for following detailed work order instructions with precision and updating management upon completion. This role involves preparing and organizing all components required for kit and display assembly, operating the shrink-wrap machine for college packs and special projects, and ensuring the correct quantity of books and components are packed accurately. The candidate will also pack materials securely using appropriate dunnage to prevent damage during transit or storage. Strong attention to detail is essential, as the role requires reporting any shortages, labeling errors, or assembly issues to management promptly. Additionally, the candidate will utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to retrieve order status and locate inventory as needed, supporting efficient and accurate fulfillment operations. Education: Specific Requirements: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Skills/experience required: Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; write legibly and effectively communicate information one-on-one and to employees and management. Mathematical Skills: Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions, and to deal with standardized structure.
