LOGISTICS TECHNICIAN Urbandale, IA TECHNICAL SKILL * Logistics * Customer Service * Data Entry * Email * Outbound & Inbound Calls DESCRIPTION We are hiring Logistics Technicians to work a contract position to support the approaching peak season. The position works onsite in Urbandale, IA and will start immediately. Together, the Logistics Technician will work closely with Logistics Account Managers to provide excellent customer service and administrative support. DUTIES * Make outbound calls to confirm departure and arrival of shipments. * Track and trace loads through naviagting internal applications. * Call receiving locations to confirm operating hours and set appointments. * Answer inbound phone calls to support the team. * Assist with data entry, emailing, and will work across departments. * Assist with processing and building out loads in the system. * Call shippers and receivers to confirm hours of operations and set appointments when required. * Document conversations, load shipments and more. * Input pertinent notes into loads that will be visible on carriers' load confirmations. * Scheduling appointments in TMS dock scheduling tool.
