Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Locations: Hybrid | Union, NJ, Kansas City, MO

About the Role

SS&C is looking for a dynamic proactive HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our fast-paced and growing Human Resources Department in Kansas City or New Jersey.The HRBP position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units and serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues.

The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent and assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicatingneedsproactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This is a regional role.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and support.

  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop targeted programs and policies.

  • Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations and resolution.

  • Maintain and interpret HR dashboards to inform decision-making and drive engagement, retention, and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and partner with legal as needed.

  • Provide coaching and support on performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions.

  • Foster a positive work environment by enhancing employee engagement and morale.

  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews; share insights with leadership to inform retention strategies.

  • Offer guidance on HR policies and procedures.

  • Support immigration processes, including visa compliance, international transfers, and I-9 audits.

  • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and change initiatives.

  • Contribute to training and compliance program development and evaluation.

  • Understand and support the needs of the organization.

  • Stay current on federal and state employment regulations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required

  • 4-6 years of HRBP experience with experience in employee relations required

  • Broad HR knowledge, including compensation, performance management, diversity, and employment law.

  • Exceptional communication skills-clear, persuasive, and professional.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and leadership presence.

  • Comfortable balancing tactical execution with long-term strategic planning.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook).

  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday, Ceridian, or similar platforms.

  • Willingness to travel domestically (approximately 10-15%).

What Sets You Apart (preferred qualifications)

  • HR certification preferred.

  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between $80,000 USD to $110,000 USD. In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company's discretion.
