Mid Shift Diesel Tech Truck Mechanic

Our Clarke Vehicare team is currently looking for an experienced Truck Mechanic - Mobile Service Truck Diesel Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service on this mid shift, Monday-Friday. In this role, Technician will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals.

What are the duties? ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs PMIs on tractors, trailers and other diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform all types of brake, steering & suspension, drive train, suspension, electrical, A/C, & engine repairs.
• Test drive vehicles under 26,000 GVW.
• Assist other technicians when needed.

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 2-3 years of relevant experience REQUIRED
• Preferred-One year certificate from college or technical school, with related repair experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES and LICENSES

• Valid Driver's License
• Preferred - CDL or ability to acquire CDL
• Preferred - ASE certifications.
