Inside the Role

The Logistics Operations Specialist responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily execution of logistics and material planning activities that support DCNA's spare parts distribution operations across North America.
This role oversees inbound supply from international suppliers, warehouse operations, inventory planning, and outbound distribution to customers. The position ensures that materials move efficiently through the supply chain-from supplier to warehouse to customer-while maintaining high service levels, inventory discipline, and cost-effective transportation.
The positions leads logistics and planning personnel and plays a key role in driving continuous improvement across DCNA's supply chain network to support customer uptime and operational excellence.

Position offers a starting salary range of $71,000.00 - $91,000.00 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

Logistics Operations Leadership

  • Supervise day-to-day logistics operations including inbound shipments, inventory handling, warehouse coordination, and outbound distribution.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between planning, purchasing, warehouse operations, and transportation partners.
  • Oversee operational readiness of DCNA logistics activities supporting parts distribution and PDI operations.

Material Planning & Supply Coordination

  • Oversee material planning activities to ensure product availability for customer orders.
  • Monitor demand signals, planning parameters, and inventory levels to maintain service levels while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate with international suppliers (including Germany and Turkey) to manage supply schedules and delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with purchasing and logistics partners to mitigate supply risks and shortages.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

  • Ensure effective inventory management practices including receiving, storage, and dispatching of parts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory visibility and support cycle count and reconciliation processes.
  • Monitor inventory performance indicators such as service levels, backorders, and inventory turns.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities to maintain efficient product flow and storage utilization.

Transportation & Distribution Optimization

  • Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities supporting parts distribution.
  • Evaluate and improve transportation routing strategies including parcel, LTL, air freight, and ocean freight.
  • Work with logistics providers, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure efficient import and distribution operations.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs while maintaining delivery performance.

Performance Monitoring & Operational Reporting

  • Monitor key operational KPIs.
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to leadership to support decision-making.
  • Implement corrective actions when operational targets are not met.

Continuous Improvement & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Identify and implement improvements to logistics processes and supply chain workflows.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects focused on improving supply chain performance and operational resilience.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to team members and the external partners (3PL).
  • Foster collaboration across supply chain functions to improve operational performance.
  • Promote a culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field and 2-4 years of experience, or 6 years or relevant experience in lieu of degree is required.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain operations, material planning, or distribution
  • Experience coordinating logistics operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools
  • An attached resume is required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Experience in parts distribution or automotive/heavy equipment industry
  • Experience working with international suppliers and long-lead supply chains
  • Knowledge of MRP or ERP planning systems
  • Experience with transportation cost analysis and logistics optimization
  • Exposure to supply chain KPI dashboards or analytics tools
