Warehouse Operator

Summary:

Ship, Receive, and warehousing of raw materials and finished goods at the Ashland, Ohio facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, organizing, and shipping of material and finished goods.
  • Scheduling of trucks to ship LTL and FTL shipments.
  • Use SAP to ship and receive materials that include Hazmat.
  • Monitor inventory levels for raw materials and collaborate with procurement to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Coordinate with customer service representative as needed.
  • Participate in cycle counts for the plant warehouse.
  • Provide support for toll production as needed. (Printing of shipping paperwork for toller)
  • Able to train/certified to ship HAZMAT material per DOT, IATA, and IMDG rules.
  • Must follow all Safety Rules, Regulations, Operating Procedures, Corporate/Plant Policies and Laws at all times.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
  • Safely operate an industrial lift truck (sit down and stand up)
  • Load/Unload of bulk raw materials
  • Load/Unload trucks with forklift
  • Ability to be trained to move/back trailers on-site with Yard Truck.
  • Use of distributed control systems to monitor process
  • Labeling of containers for shipment
  • Maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards
  • Safely handling industrial chemicals
  • Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including chemical suit, respirator, face shield, hard hat, steel toed boots, etc.
  • Work 1st shift and Work overtime as needed
  • Participate in company safety meetings and training

Other responsibilities as directed by supervision

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be safety conscious, reliable, and have a strong work ethic
  • Minimum of one year of hands on manufacturing experience desired; chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must be computer literate and have good math skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
