Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst Job Location: Richmond, VA

High Level Project Overview:

Programming support for Commodity Risk Management.

A Programmer Analyst will work in the Product Model of application support. This will require candidates are familiar with the agile method of working. The candidates will be responsible for understanding business needs and technical specifications to build and implement automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • System Analysis and Design: Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify requirements and design solutions.
  • System Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for systems and applications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with various stakeholders, including business users, other developers, and IT teams, to understand needs and explain technical concepts.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, such as user manuals and system design documents.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues within systems and applications.

Top 3 Required Skills

  • Must have a minimum 4 years of experience using .Net Programming Skills (please ensure clear on resume when and when last used)
  • Knowledge of database structures and management systems- high preference for candidates with experience in large, regulated industry environments
  • Minimum of 4 years in seat as a Programmer Analyst

Soft skill requirements:

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Ability to maintain composure in high intensity situations.
  • Exposure and experience with AI tools.

Required Years of Experience:

  • 4 years of directly related experience

Required Education:

  • Degree(s) related to computer science
