The Senior Director Product Management is responsible for (1) managing the product management program for a broad product type of TTI's product line which provides the correct mix/inventory levels of products required to meet customer needs and sales requirements (2) minimizes costs/maximize profits through effective inventory management, purchasing decisions, and supplier relationships, (3) enhances the image of TTI in the marketplace as the distributor of choice, and (4) achieving Corporate sales, gross profit margin and pre-tax goals.

Our Senior Director Product Management:



  • Develops and directs a product management work team that excels at managing inventory, maximizing profitability, and optimizing supplier relationships by hiring, training and leading qualified people, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and by providing effective training, development, and succession planning.
  • Evaluates and revises inventory plans for the assigned products and suppliers in order to maintain a product mix that meets corporate financial objectives and customer requirements.
  • Consults with TTI sales representatives regarding customer needs, product features, product availability, cost issues, etc. in order to maximize potential for sales representative success.
  • Manages processes for budgeting, forecasting, etc. in order to fully utilize scrap dollars and minimize gross profit leakage.
  • Removes obstacles, helps negotiate major contracts and provides product solutions/unique advantages for suppliers, customers and other industry representatives so that TTI is considered the preferred partner for suppliers, the preferred choice of products for customers and the best distributor for which to work in the industry.
  • Reviews overall system hygiene for products within the group in order to ensure that TTI systems/databases reflect accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date product-related information (increment quantity, minimum order quantities, correct costs, delivery information, etc.) for all assigned products.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 plus years of related industry experience is required, including experience in sales, sales management, marketing, product management, distribution, asset management, etc.


What we look for:



  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook) at the intermediate level preferred.
