Position Summary

This is a stand-alone position who provides support to VPs, GMs, Managing Directors or multiple Directors. Exercises confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries. Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail. Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries; typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision; serves in non-exempt capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc

  • May prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries

  • Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail

  • Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries

  • Typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses

  • Requires event planning for learning and development courses that require coordination with senior staff/vendors

Basic/Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree AND two (2) years related work experience

  • In lieu of degree and years experience listed above, High school/GED AND four (4) years related work experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office products- specifically One Note, Excel, Power Point

  • Proficient in Teams and SharePoint

  • Comfortable with leveraging AI technology to enhance work

Working Conditions
  • Hybrid Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility

  • 3 days in office; flexible
