Business Planning Advisor

Leads and executes quantitative analysis of operations, major company projects, and proposals, including annual business plan capital and operating expenditures. Provides technical direction, program leadership, and coordination among work groups by analyzing operations, projects, and proposals, including strategic capital and operating expenditure

Essential Functions

• Analyzing financial and operating data to measure, analyze, and project profit-and-loss, return-on-investment, cash flow, capital justifications, risks, and benefits.

• Providing feasibility and business impact assessments, ensuring a focus on corporate impact

• Developing and executing presentations to executive and senior management.

• Developing and maintaining planning measurement systems, considering productivity, service, and quality criteria, and linking results to objectives and plans.

• Developing business planning models that enable management to forecast the impact of alternative courses of action.

• Executing planning models in support of strategic mid-range and long-term forecasting and annual business planning.

• Providing ongoing support in the business planning process, employing planning methodology and other appropriate methods, tools, and processes

• Providing regular reports to departmental and divisional management on projects and programs.

• Developing statistical reports and providing technical and operational information to support financial analysis and the development of business cases and justifications for proposed projects

• Analyzing market, operating, and/or financial data to develop recommendations, improve operational and financial performance, and drive decision-making.

• Evaluating new business opportunities, conducting competitive analysis and intelligence.

• Providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of industry, customer, and/or competitor situations in markets of interest.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in a quantitative business degree, finance, marketing analysis, computer science/information systems, or related quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years of experience in finance, marketing, business planning, engineering planning, information systems consulting, project management, or similar quantitative business analysis required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of micro/macroeconomics, financial and strategic marketing theories, industrial engineering/planning theory, computer science/information systems theories, and project management best practices is essential

Strong quantitative/data analysis skills, business planning/analysis and requirements definition skills, and information systems development are required.

The role demands excellent analytical, project management, human relations, and communication skills.

This position is hybrid in Collierville TN, Plano TX, Salt Lake City UT, Coraopolis PA. The successful candidate must live within 50 miles of campus location.
