Job Description

What You Will Do:


We are seeking a Quality Engineer I! In this position, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring product reliability and quality across the full product lifecycle. You will work at the intersection of design, product testing, and manufacturing, supporting both new product introductions and sustaining production. In this role, you will analyze quality and performance data, conduct failure investigations, and help drive corrective and preventive actions that improve product robustness and customer satisfaction. You will support environmental and production testing activities, participate in design and launch reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of the quality management system. By identifying trends, resolving quality issues early, and collaborating across engineering and operations teams, you will help ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.


This on-site position is located our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to the Quality Engineering Manager.


How You Will Do It:



  • Provide mechanical engineering support to calibration, production testing, Quality Engineering (QE), and Quality Assurance (QA) teams
  • Design, analyze, document, and support installation of product HASS/ESS screening processes and procedures
  • Identify quality issues and facilitate corrective action investigations, including coordination, execution, and effectiveness monitoring
  • Analyze quality and reliability data to identify trends and prevent recurrence of defects
  • Monitor and evaluate product lifecycle data through periodic sampling and field return analysis
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to review, create, publish, and maintain corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support process improvements within the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of quality process and product data for new products and field returns
  • Review customer requirements for applicability and participate in project launches and mechanical design reviews
  • Participate in supplier management activities by providing mechanical engineering and quality support


What We Look For:


Required



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one year of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Working knowledge associated with fastener torque specifications.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of multi-axis vibration implementation, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical data to recommend solutions.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship


Desired



  • Working design experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with HASS development, implementation, processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of quality tools to conduct root cause, corrective action, and continuous improvements.
  • Working experience of quality methods and Statistical analysis
