Job Summary: B&A is seeking a SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management - Senior Functional Consultant to support a federal government client operating within a classified environment. This role is responsible for the configuration, sustainment, and optimization of the SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management suite - encompassing Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, Learning Management (LMS), and Compensation - to support the full talent lifecycle across the enterprise. The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise across multiple Talent Management modules and a demonstrated ability to align complex federal workforce development requirements with scalable SAP SuccessFactors solutions. Responsibilities:
- Lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management modules including Performance & Goals Management, Succession & Development Planning, Learning Management System (LMS), and Compensation Management
- Analyze and translate federal workforce development and talent strategy requirements into functional design specifications and system configuration decisions
- Design and configure goal libraries, performance form templates, rating scales, and calibration sessions aligned with agency performance management policies
- Build and maintain succession org charts, talent pools, nomination workflows, and development plan templates to support federal workforce continuity planning
- Configure learning curricula, item types, assignments, and completion rules within the SuccessFactors LMS to support mandatory and developmental training requirements
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders, business process owners, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Talent Management modules and Employee Central
- Conduct configuration workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with federal client personnel
- Develop and maintain functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and end-user training materials across all supported modules
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management best practices, advising on system enhancements and bi-annual release updates
- Ensure compliance with federal HR regulations, data privacy requirements, and security protocols applicable to the classified operating environment
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management configuration and implementation across one or more modules (Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, LMS, or Compensation)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting federal government clients or operating within regulated or classified environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management including form template design, goal management, succession planning, and LMS curriculum configuration
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Human Resources Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
Required Skills:
- Deep functional knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management modules including Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, Learning Management System (LMS), and Compensation
- Experience designing and configuring performance form templates, goal libraries, rating scales, route maps, and calibration workflows
- Proficiency in succession planning configuration including talent pools, nomination processes, talent review sessions, and development plans
- Working knowledge of SuccessFactors LMS including item and curriculum management, assignment profiles, completion processing, and reporting
- Strong understanding of how Talent Management modules integrate with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and downstream HR systems
- Ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements from federal HR and workforce development stakeholders
- Proficiency in developing functional specifications, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and end-user training materials
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors release management and the ability to assess impacts of bi-annual updates on existing talent configurations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex functional concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working within federal or highly regulated IT environments with adherence to strict security and compliance protocols
Desired Skills:
- SAP Certified Application Associate in one or more SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management modules (Performance & Goals, Succession & Development, Learning, or Compensation)
- Experience configuring SAP SuccessFactors Compensation including merit planning, bonus plans, and compensation statements
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics and reporting tools for talent performance metrics and dashboard development
- Knowledge of federal workforce development frameworks including OPM competency models, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and agency succession program requirements
- Experience supporting Agile or SAFe delivery methodologies within federal IT programs
- Prior experience on DOE, DOD, or other federal agency SAP SuccessFactors implementations
Security Clearance:
- Active Top Secret (TS) or DOE Q clearance is required; eligibility for SCI access may be required depending on program assignment
