The role - what you'll do Barr is seeking a water resources engineer to join our Minneapolis team. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow while supporting a diverse range of water resources and civil engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers on tasks such as stormwater management planning, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, open-channel and pipe flow analysis and design, and the design of water control and stormwater treatment structures. Field assignments may include construction observation, stormwater infrastructure assessment, collection of hydrologic and water-quality data, and materials testing. The position also involves preparing plans and specifications, coordinating with permitting agencies and public officials, GIS and CADD tasks, report writing, and spreadsheet development. The work may occasionally require short-term, out-of-town travel. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of a project team, and flexibility and willingness to occasionally modify personal schedule to meet deadlines and/or client needs. Compensation: Anticipated range of $75,000-$80,000/year. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
