General Job Description We are currently searching for an Electrical Sales Representative to join our team as we continue to grow. This individual will be responsible for scheduling and conducting homebuyer meetings on-site in the design center, interpreting data, builder specifications, and input from other team members. This role also includes assisting with design and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and preferably a basic understanding of electrical and lighting design. They must be detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual meetings with homebuyers Interpret floor plans, specifications, and schematics Assist customers in selecting electrical and lighting design options Create bills of materials for electrical installations Collaborate with internal teams on design and project details Maintain accurate records and manage multiple projects simultaneously Support the Sales Manager with administrative tasks Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications What We're Looking For 2+ years of sales experience (preferred) Basic knowledge of electrical systems or lighting design (preferred) Strong communication and customer service skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Self-motivated and able to work independently Technical Skills Microsoft Office (Excel - intermediate level preferred) Design software (Bluebeam preferred, CAD, Photoshop, etc.) Builder platforms such as SupplyPro (a plus) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean record Ability to pass a background check Work Environment Office-based in a design center setting Regular interaction with customers, builders, and internal teams Fast-paced environment with multiple appointments and deadlines Occasional visits to job sites or model homes Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting and computer use Standing and walking during customer meetings Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (materials, sample boards, etc.) Visual ability to review plans and design documents License Required Yes Job Locations US-TX-Conroe Company Overview IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
