Security Officer - School Monitor

As a Security Officer (Education) in Glenshaw, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a welcoming front desk location supporting an educational environment, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access at the front desk by greeting students, staff, visitors, and vendors, verifying credentials, and following visitor management procedures for the location.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
• Support a professional front office presence by documenting daily activity, answering incoming calls, and reporting unusual or suspicious activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related concerns through attentive observation of entry areas, adherence to post instructions, and consistent application of assigned responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
