Position Summary

The Operating Room Liaison is responsible for providing support, training and communication regarding the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to the surgical team in compliance with the Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI AND AORN standards and facility goals and policies. Coordinates day-to-day operations of SPD employees.

The Operating Room Liaison supports the Surgical Services team by serving as the primary connection between the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD). This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays in alignment with all regulatory requirements, including DOH, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards.

The OR Liaison works closely with SPD leadership to support daily operations, provide staff training, coordinate repairs, and promote consistent communication to optimize workflow across perioperative services.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
