Main Duties & Responsibilities

Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday - 12-hour shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform entry level QA duties related to the quality function regarding product
testing.

Essential Duties,
Responsibilities and Competencies:
Include the
following. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Must have a quality orientation, attention to detail, ability to work within a
team, take direction from supervisory personnel, be able to take constructive
criticism, and work toward continuous improvement.

Reads and interprets documents (blueprints, drawings, or manufacturing work
orders) to inspect parts, after multiple stages in manufacturing, to precision
tolerance and company specifications.

Utilizes a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform
inspection of parts.

Performs, when required, Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks per
specification and acts in accordance with data output.

Meets and maintains productivity levels and quality requirements in support of
departmental standards, goals, and schedules.

Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety
regulations.

This role is required to be on-site 3 days at the Ottawa, KS location (after training).


Qualifications

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
computer literate and be proficient in the use of Excel and Word Processing
software.

Education and/or
Experience:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Education and job experience should be relevant to a manufacturing quality
function with basic skills dealing in manufacturing, engineering, or computer
processing.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or
hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms and
stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move
up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth
perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work
environment is usually very loud.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $22.00.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
