Job Overview

The Director of Provider Integration provides strategic oversight, development, and operational support of Children's Hospital Colorado's system entities, which comprises independent medical practices. Serves as the primary liaison for operational alignment between independent practices and the organization, partnering with executive leadership, Board members, and physician leaders to guide strategic initiatives and fosters collaborative decision-making across healthcare system stakeholders. Develops and maintains strong business relationships with practices, providers, and practice administrators to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborates with the Vice President to develop, implement, and oversee strategic growth initiatives that advance organizational objectives, including identifying market opportunities, evaluating potential practice partnerships, and executing expansion strategies, while ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term vision and financial goals.

  1. Works closely with the VP Strategic Provider Integration, executive team, managed care team, and legal/compliance teams to advance physician alignment strategy. Leads complex integration initiatives through strategic planning, financial modeling, operational assessment, and implementation oversight.
  2. Supports Board functions and overall governance, including content development with the Vice President and committee members. Develops and maintains project governance frameworks to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Ensures smooth operations through management and tracking of performance metrics defined within corporate documents and established by the Board.
  4. Serves as a subject matter expert on primary care practice operations, providing strategic guidance to ensure operational excellence and sustainability across independent practices.
  5. Provides comprehensive oversight of fee-for-service and value-based payment models, including contract analysis, revenue optimization strategies, and performance monitoring. Partners with practice leadership to implement effective revenue cycle management processes and navigate payment model transitions.
  6. Maintains a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and threats, creating solutions to ensure long-term success for the entity.
  7. Educates internal staff on organizational goals, sets performance metrics, and conducts regular reviews.
  8. Educates providers and administrators on practice administrative duties, corporate governance requirements, and compliance tracking systems.
  9. Promotes and advocates for collaboration and management across independent entities, identifying opportunities to generate buy-in, support, and ownership.
  10. Develops and obtains approval for multi-year quality and safety goals, including measure maintenance, development, and improvement initiatives.
  11. Manages and develops vendor contracts and partnerships while maintaining required regulatory reports.
  12. Recruits and manages relationships with practices, physicians, practice administrators, and internal support staff.
  13. Builds, tracks, and reports on overall practice management goals to ensure long-term success.
  14. Oversees provider education activities, including development of presentations for orientations and corporate requirements.
  15. Provides oversight and leadership of all entity operations as defined by corporate documents for each individual practice and the program overall, including current and future strategic development, implementation, and operationalization.
  16. Partners with Vice President to manage Board agendas, track initiatives, and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • Experience: Five years' experience in healthcare environment and two years of management experience.
    • Preferences: Prior experience working in a clinically integrated network

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $137,944.29 to $229,907.13
