CDL - Class B Driver Wausau, WI Pay: $25.00 - $29.50 per hour Local Routes. Home daily! Job Summary The Class B Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver plumbing, HVAC, and pipe materials to customer locations. This role involves primarily driving responsibilities with occasional warehouse support, including loading trucks and handling materials. The position requires strong attention to safety, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service. This is a long-term opportunity for reliable drivers who can operate independently while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Job Responsibilities Operate Class B vehicles, including 26-foot box trucks, flatbeds, and midsize trucks (automatic) Deliver materials to customer locations according to scheduled routes Load, secure, and unload materials using pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts as needed Verify delivery accuracy and obtain customer signatures on delivery documentation Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all materials are properly secured and within weight limits Communicate with supervisors regarding delivery status, delays, or issues Pick up customer returns and verify materials against documentation Maintain and return delivery paperwork accurately and completely Assist with warehouse operations, including loading trucks and organizing materials Follow all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety policies Represent the organization professionally and provide excellent customer service Report vehicle issues, incidents, or violations promptly Support general operational needs and work overtime as required Job Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required Minimum of 1 year of experience driving Class B vehicles Valid state-issued self-certification designation (non-excepted interstate) Ability to operate a smartphone for navigation and communication Experience using pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts preferred Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to lift and handle materials as required Willingness to assist in warehouse operations as needed Ability to work overtime as required Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Work Experience At least 1 year of commercial driving experience required About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
