Spring Lake Village Pay Range: $27.65 - $29.00 Part Time, 24 Hours Weekly, NOC Shift Summary: Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, DSD and/or DON, the CNA is responsible for performing routine patient/resident care according to policies and procedures and within acceptable nursing standards.
- Maintains charts and documentation for all residents.
- Greets new residents, orients them to their room, and ensures they are comfortable
- Assists residents with basic needs, including, but not limited to, oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing/undressing, hair care, nail care, shaving, and bowel and bladder functions.
- Maintain resident stability by checking vitals, weight, etc., and documenting them. *Follows infection control techniques in performing patient/resident care.
- Observe residents' behaviors, pay attention to all details, and report changes to nurses.
- Engage with residents by assisting them with participating in activities, talking with them, and treating everyone with a person-centered approach.
- Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs.
- Complete clinical rounds and respond to resident call lights promptly.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Competencies and skills:
Essential: * Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos * Ability write simple correspondence Credentials: Essential: * Certified Nurse Assistant Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * High School diploma or GED or Some High School Education Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Nonessential: * 1-3 Months with knowledge of State and Federal regulations * 1-3 Months long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse Compensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
