Position Summary

Responsible for field applications, system design, and customer product development/enhancement. Provides sales, marketing and design direction in support of the Division's growth initiative. May also manage specific Division key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support - Provide technical support for complex fluidic systems for large OEM customers including architecture, component specification, troubleshooting lab evaluations via email, phone, and echat. Supports field sales and distributors as required to maintain Division's premier customer service position.

  • Sales Support - Support field sales and distribution through travel and virtual technical meetings to drive technical resolutions on customer opportunities/challenges. Produce technical documentation to support our customers, reduce frequently asked questions and attract new customers to PPF.

  • Information Sharing - Lead training efforts for customers, distributors, PPF team members and Parker Stakeholders. Provides timely reports summarizing findings on a given product, project or territory.

  • Product Management Support - Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provides reports on a regularly scheduled basis. Collaborates with Product Management on changes in the market, product or applications that impact the saleability of PPF Products.

  • Division Initiatives - Technical leader of initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, or growth of PPF. Work within a broad multi-functional team to support Division business objectives.

  • Training & New Product Introduction - Identify areas of training needed to achieve growth goals and collaborate with Application Engineering on development and delivery of training. Lead new product introductions and new product sales achievement into sales channels of responsibility with collaboration with Product Management and Marketing teams.

  • Expertise & Knowledge - Develop knowledge of the designated sales channels partners, markets and applications.


Qualifications

  • Domestic and International travel (25%) for face-to-face meetings with channel partners and key customers and to support Division initiatives (i.e. Tradeshows, Trainings).

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Five to Seven years of technical / customer facing experience (Life Science or Fluidics preferred)

  • Excellent mechanical comprehension with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
