Position Summary

Responsible for customer field application support for key customer accounts, assist product design solutions, and customer product development. Provides sales, marketing and customers with design direction in support of the customers' technical needs. Daily technical assistance to customers through phone, email, and web chat. This position is based at Parker Chomerics headquarters in Woburn, MA. On-demand travel requirements around 25% to support key customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Position responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the Division through innovative product development and exploring adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all Division departments and Division staff. Works with minimal daily supervision. Keeps team leaders and staff informed of project status.
  • Develop deep knowledge base for application needs of key customer account.
  • Provide internal guidance based on market trends for innovative product design and communicate them to Engineering for product development.
  • Large customer management including communication, quality reports and engineering support.
  • Support field sales and distributors as required to maintain Division's premier customer service position.
  • Assist territory and regional manager in adapting current and new products to customer need and satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise on product to close on final sale - New Business Awards (NBA's).
  • Assist design and manufacturing in the development of new and/or revised product according to customer requirements.
  • Provide technical training of customers and distributors in division products.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace.
  • Support development of customer communication programs and special marketing efforts.
  • Support strategic sales plans for existing and adjacent markets for existing and new innovative products.
  • Must maintain high degree of customer service, throughput, and quality and participate in division lean activities.
  • Participate in and develop training materials for the Division.
  • Actively work hands-on in the Applications Lab fabricating prototypes and working on Dispensing Equipment.
  • Become subject matter expert for material selection across different markets, with a focus on thermal interface materials and electromagnetic interference shielding.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • 2+ years of engineering or technical customer support required.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems (CAD) a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and test specifications. Ability to write routine plans and reports and general correspondences. Ability to communicate in English with other team members and departments.

  • Pay Range: $87050 to $145250 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
