Position Summary

Provide cost estimates and create product structures for new and existing products. Maintains item masters for assigned products. Provides cost information for customer quotations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop timely and accurate cost data and technical information for new and existing products.
  • Develop product structures/manufacturing methods for new and existing products.
  • Assess customer Requests for Quote for feasibility and Quality Note implications.
  • Create item masters for new products and maintain item masters for existing products.
  • Ensure Engineering Change Order and Management of Change processes have been followed before implementing changes to Bills of Material and Item Masters.
  • Provide cost data for customer quotes within defined service level agreement times (Quote P75)
  • Review and ensure effective use of materials, tools, equipment and production personnel to reach target cost/price for all division products.
  • Act as engineering liaison and provide guidance to customers regarding design concepts and specifications to best utilize division equipment and manufacturing capacity.
  • Release new products to the actual production runs.
  • Up-front involvement with business units on manufacturing approach required to reach target cost/price.
  • Provide advice and counsel on technical issues.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers, as well as manufacturing, engineering and sales personnel on daily basis.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline required.
  • 0-2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Mechanical design, Inventor experience or any other preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Product Data Management software experience preferred, Enovia
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $69500 to $115000 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
