What You'll Do:

This position reports directly to the General Supervisor, Product Distribution.



This position is located in Aurora, North Carolina, U.S.A. and is not available for remote work.



What you will do:



Incumbent is responsible for the supervision of transporation equipment and scheduling to assure movement of raw and finished products to meet the Phosphate Operations sales commitments along with preparing and administering budgeted assets. The Asst. Supervisor will work directly with the Distribution General Supervisor and employees to ensure that the company's business objectives and safety, health & environmental policies are met.






    • Continuous contact with Corporate Sales Department, internal departments, common carriers and railways to facilitate scheduling of domestic and export shipments in conjunction with the loading and shipping of product to meet the needs of customers.
    • Prepares and reviews daily reports for management and corporate users detailing shipments and raw materials from previous day.
    • Submits necessary information to allow preparation of Annual Sales plans, formulation of budget information and plans for equipment requirements.
    • Keep management informed of all activities in a timely manner.
    • Maintain SDS sheets to assure Community-Right-To-Know regulations are followed.
    • Oversee, coordinate and follows all Nutrien, MSHA, OSHA, MARSEC, Safety and Environmental programs and guidelines, including permit compliance
    • Work with Coast Guard, Federal Rail Administration (FRA) along with other outside agencies to ensure compliance.
    • Coordinate with Environmental Department, MHC and Aurora to assure timely pick up and disposal of hazardous waste.
    • Write and review SOP's, trains employees and contractors, and enforces SOP's.
    • Support activities to ensure compliance with FDA / FSMA regulations and specific product certification programs (NSF/ANSI Standard 60, FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal, FSC36, SF/SF, etc.) as it applies to food grade and feed grade phosphate products manufactured at the Aurora site.
    • Requires commitment to improve and develop new skills including safety and environmental awareness for the protection of the employees and company assets in order to maintain competitive position in the phosphate industry. Must be able to recognize and maintain confidential information.




What You'll Bring:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree required along with either an associate degree in a Business-related field of study or equivalent training in the transportation field.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Distribution, United States Coast Guard Regulations and Marine Law, Shipping Agencies, Port Operations, Accounting Principles, expertise in Human Relations, and Transportation field is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree with at least 5 years of experience in Transportation/Distribution Operations is preferred.
