In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operational uptime of our client's advanced fleet. You will dive deep into the heart of their vehicle development, providing real-time support, meticulously dissecting issues, and driving continuous improvement for critical perception systems. Your contributions will directly enhance the reliability and performance of groundbreaking autonomous technology, playing a vital part in bringing safe and efficient mobility solutions to the world. **What You'll Do:** * Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to perception system issues within the fleet.
* Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to identify and resolve fleet issues.
* Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, incorporating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions.
* Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new perception components.
* Design and implement diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes, with a focus on perception system calibration and data integrity.
* Conduct historical review of vehicle/fleet data, including perception system data, identifying trends and issues.
* Collaborate with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and improve issue detection capabilities.
* Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues.
* Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
* Engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
* Be available for overtime as needed, with advanced notice provided.
* Be willing to travel occasionally to support various operational locations. **What You'll Bring:** **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a specific focus on perception systems and sensors.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
* Experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and how to safely troubleshoot.
* Understanding of hardware and software systems architecture, communications to support in an operations setting.
* Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.
* Self-starter, with the ability to build relationships across the company.
* Ability to comprehend schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views/pinout.
* Ability to pass a background check. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Experience with electric vehicle technology.
* Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics tools.
* Experience with Linux & Python-based programming systems for fleet-level data processing.
* Experience with software that interfaces with hardware.
