Facility Engineer

Location: Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH

Minimum Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI or Top Secret/SAP

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI or Top Secret/SAP U.S. Government Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use.

Travel: Up to 5% travel to CONUS locations or as required by customer

As Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for applying Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 requirements to ensure ICD 705 compliance of construction designs and plans and coordinate construction contractor-customer interfaces during construction.

Who You Are and What You Need:



  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio (Mechanical);
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience; familiarity with ICD 705 construction;
  • Extensive experience in HVAC and control systems design



What You Will Do:




  • Apply Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 requirements to ensure ICD 705 compliance of construction designs and plans and coordinate construction contractor-customer interfaces during construction.
  • Provide advanced facility engineering, operations, planning, and programming for NSIC operating locations.
  • Provide mechanical system reliability and resiliency engineering to assure highly available intelligence mission facilities.
  • Assist NSIC in developing, executing and monitoring facility maintenance and sustainment programs
  • Provide expertise for facility planning and operation in compliance with regulatory codes, such as the United Facility Code (UFC), Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and National Electric Code (NEC) for all SCIF modification and construction projects.
