POSITION SUMMARY:



Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHMI) is a healthcare services organization created to further the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine; namely, to improve the health of the global community by setting the standard of excellence in medical education, research and clinical care.



Reporting to the Director or Assistant Director, (Patient Services or Corporate Relations and Special Services), this position is responsible for developing and managing relationships with a targeted base of high-profile patients and client organizations while overseeing their medical care coordination at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Emphasis will be placed on the design and implementation of best practices within Johns HopkinsMedicine (JHM) when dealing with high-level patients, donors, referral sources, and physicians. This position will manage relationships with various high-end referral sources, and provide special services of the group to a select clientele within Johns Hopkins and to targeted groups throughout theUnited States and abroad. The position will also be responsible for managing patients' medical journey: including pre-arrival tasks, schedulingappointments, financial clearance, onsite case coordination, facilitating post care requests and tracking success measures of the different activities to ensure an outstanding patient experience.



The individual will work closely with departments, senior leaders and executives across the organization including the Dean' office, President's office,Trustees/Board members, Corporate referrals and the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, to identify potential donors, and cultivates relationships with patients who have the potential to donate to JHM. This position also works closely with the Development and Alumni relations office in their philanthropic efforts by supporting donors of all levels, and connecting their interests to provide funding across all entities.



Education:

Bachelors required. Equivalent work experience in a healthcare and/or multinational business setting can be substituted



Knowledge

* Intermediate knowledge with medical, and insurance terminology

* Understands HIPPA standards and protects confidential patient information

* Competence in the use of automated appointment scheduling and registration systems, database software, and call center telephone systems

* General understanding of database management preferred

Job Title: Corporate Relations Client Specialist

* Excellent knowledge of customer service best practices and concierge services catered to opinion leaders.



Skills:

* Advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to cope with a demanding clientele and the ability to defuse situations of high emotion or conflict

* Advanced organizational skills - ability to prioritize multiple activities and follow them accurately to completion

* Excellent verbal, telephone, written and communication skills to interact with a diverse group of patients, families, members of the health care team, executives and external clients/ referral sources

* Impeccable customer service skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people within and outside Johns Hopkins Medicine.

* Detail-oriented, expected to multitask and effectively work well under pressure

* Navigated within a complex matrix organization

* Strong teamwork and autonomy with handling issues independently

* Possesses integrity and accountability in actions and behaviors based on values consistent with the expectations of organizational culture

* Promotes teamwork and collegiality throughout the team and all levels of the organization and demonstrates highest professionalism as a representative of JHMI.

* Analytical skills required to implement and analyze tracking historical trends.

* Identify and cultivate relationships with these potential donors to deliver to the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Work Experience:

8 years related experience in healthcare, hospitality and/or international business with a strong focus on customer service best practices

Salary Range: Minimum $26.51/visit - Maximum $43.76/visit. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
