Director, Network Engineering The Director will be the ultimate owner of customer success, serving as a strategic partner, a technical liaison, and an internal champion for a defined group of accounts. This position demands a proactive professional who can navigate complex challenges, drive cross-functional alignment, and have difficult but necessary conversations to ensure mutual success. Responsibilities
- Manage large regional upgrades,modifications to our neutral host systems with multiple installation and integration partners and employees across military bases, airports, and stadiums
- Direct, coach, and develop the region's field team consisting of Field Operations Managers and Field Engineers to include account,escalation management of base command to meet Boingo's business needs
- Overallfinancial managementand accountability for assigned region(s) to track use of company's expense against P&L statement
- Direct regional personnel in the management of system lifecycle of region venues
- Allocate resources across the region as new venues, systems, or feature sets aredeployed.
- Work with peer leadership within cross-functional teams in efforts to steer the maintenance of existing accounts, improve customer satisfaction and grow revenue, whilemaintainingbudgets to ensureoptimalprofitability
Requirements
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects through different contractors and multiple employee groupsrequired
- Must have proven ability to schedule complex projects to deliver them on time and under budget
- Need to be technicallyinclined andunderstand the basics of telecomnetworks.
- Must understand how tomaintainlive networks to include 3 years' experience in dealing with 24/7/365 operations for service restoration, upgrades, and performance monitoring
- Must be able to gather and organize data, then make logical decisions based on that data and implement a solution
- Extensive experience managing and leading people in geographically diverse areas
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have proven ability to work in a matrix organization to get the job done
- Knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, fibertransportand wireless backhaul)
- Must be willing to travel within assignedregions.

- Leveraging relationships and industry contacts to onboard 3rdparty resources to meet the needs of the business (e.g., construction, installation, and maintenance vendors)
