Job Description The Opportunity

The College of Arts and Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach is seeking a highly organized, collaborative, and student-focused professional to join the Academic Advancement Center (AAC). As a vital member of the Student Success team, you will contribute to the success of thousands of students by supporting one of the university's largest academic support operations. Working closely with the Assistant Dean of Student Success and Director of the Academic Advancement Center, this position plays a key role in coordinating the daily operations of a comprehensive tutoring and academic support program that employs more than 100 student staff members.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to blend administrative expertise, operational coordination, and student engagement in a fast-paced higher education environment. Responsibilities include supporting student employment processes through Workday, coordinating tutoring services across multiple academic disciplines, assisting with training and development initiatives, and contributing to strategic planning, assessment, and reporting efforts. The position also supports outreach and marketing initiatives designed to increase student awareness and utilization of academic support resources.

Primary job functions

Administrative Operations & Student Employee Management
  • Support daily operations of a high-volume academic support center serving 100+ student employees.
  • Manage student hiring, onboarding, payroll, scheduling, personnel records, and purchasing through Workday.
  • Supervise and support tutors, graduate assistants, and front desk staff while coordinating staffing schedules.
  • Facilitate staff training, onboarding, CRLA certification programs, and operational meetings.
  • Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and resource management.
  • Maintain professional communication with faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.
Data Reporting, Technology & Student Outreach
  • Analyze and interpret student success data using Workday, Campus Solutions, OBI, tutoring platforms, and advanced Excel tools (PivotTables, PivotCharts, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP).
  • Develop reports and presentations on tutoring utilization, student engagement, retention, and academic performance.
  • Conduct targeted outreach to connect academically at-risk students with tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and support services.
  • Create data-informed communications, assessments, and operational reports that support student success initiatives.
Student Success, Assessment & Retention
  • Support college and university retention initiatives through data collection, analysis, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to evaluate enrollment, retention, course performance, and tutoring outcomes.
  • Prepare actionable reports and insights to measure program effectiveness and inform institutional decision-making.
  • Identify student success trends and recommend strategies to improve academic achievement and persistence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
