Smiths Interconnect a Molex company is currently seeking an Assembly Lead to work in our plant in Irving TX.

Our Team

* This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the production assembly floor. The Assembly Lead will assist with training employees on processes and procedures relating to assembly, manufacturing operations, and utilizing Epicor.

* This position will work with the Production Supervisor to plan work and make sure the finished products meet customer requirements. He or She will work closely with other manufacturing departments to determine production priorities.

* The position requires a person who is well organized, a good leader and is able to make decisions quickly, while under pressure. This position interacts with multiple departments and is expected to act in a professional manner

What You Will Do

* Training employees and temporaries

* Ensuring daily and weekly priorities are being worked.

* Assigning kits to meet Job start dates

* Ensuring kits are being audited before work begins.

* Provide Job status

* Enforce company rules and policies and report any infractions to supervisor/manager

* Interprets and performs functions per product process plans and complex engineering prints

* Knowledge of quality system documentation and the interrelation of the complete quality system.

* Requisitions and communicates maintenance needs for special set-up and complicated machine adjustments.

* Compliance and participation in all Smiths Connectors EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Understands the manufacturing process thoroughly and has reasonable expectations as to what can be accomplished in a certain timeframe.

Ability to interpret and perform assembly functions

Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions

Ability to work with others

Ability to use microscopes comparator and other measuring devices

Must have good time management skills

Good communication skills
