SQL Automation Engineer (SQL Server / PowerShell) Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite per week) W2 Only Overview We are seeking an Expert Automation Engineer with strong expertise in PowerShell Universal and SQL Server to support automation initiatives within a dynamic Agile environment. This role requires a hands-on engineer capable of designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions while collaborating across teams. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell Universal * Work extensively with SQL Server databases (queries, performance tuning, troubleshooting) * Build and integrate automation workflows using Python, Ansible, or Java * Interface with REST APIs for system integrations * Troubleshoot and resolve automation and system issues * Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum methodologies * Track work and deliverables using Jira and related tools Required Qualifications * 8+ years of experience in software development or automation engineering * Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server * Hands-on experience with PowerShell Universal * Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Ansible, or Java * Experience developing or integrating with REST APIs * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and within a team in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in Scrum/Agile frameworks * Familiarity with Jira and Horizon (or similar tools) * Banking or enterprise-scale environment experience (if applicable) This role is best suited for: * A PowerShell-heavy automation engineer * Someone with DB + scripting + enterprise experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
